Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy

Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome(CRPS). ****Please bear with me while I am getting this blog in order. There is alot more that I'm going to be adding to this page. Is a disorder that usually developes as a result of an injury. RSD consists of intense pain that occurs in the part of the body where the original pain occurred, it includes elevated sensations and reduced movement in that area. Twice as many women are affected by RSD then men are. It affects people of all ethnic backrounds. With the onset usually occurring in adults between the ages of 20 to 50 years of age. More recently it has been brought to light that it is also affecting many Cheerleaders at a younger age because of the types of injuries that can occur in Cheerleading.
